Phoenix Rising Free School is a fully inclusive private school in Scottsdale Arizona, based on a democratic, free school model for students ages 3-19.
PRFS was founded by concerned parents, educators and professionals here in the Valley. Based on the belief that students who are free to develop naturally as children will progress into a life long love of learning, that will allow each child to build a successful life based on their skills and talents.
This model allows students to follow their interests, and learn about life at their pace. Faster in some areas, slow and steady in others. Students are not forced to move forward into new lessons when past lessons have yet to be mastered. Students are allowed to choose the direction they want from education. Music, Arts, Animation, Science, Math, Design, Sports, Engineering, Animal Care or whatever their imaginations can create. We provide the support for each student to apply a learning approach that furthers the student's understanding and appreciation of the interests they are pursuing.
